Thousands of fans have joined players, staff and coaches at Hull Kingston Rovers to celebrate the club's historic Challenge Cup win.

A special bus parade started at Craven Park before it made its way through east Hull to Queen Victoria Square in the city centre.

The Challenge Cup win marked the first time the Robins had secured the famous trophy since 1980.

Some of the fans had queued for more than three hours to catch a glimpse of their heroes when they arrived at Queen Victoria Square
The forecast bad weather did not come to pass and the fans enjoyed their celebrations in some late evening sunshine
There were a few nervous faces as Elliot Minchella climbed over a balcony safety railing to give the fans a better view of the trophy
The cleanup operation started as soon as the players finished their interviews on the balcony and disappeared from sight
The players, who secured the Robins' first major trophy for over 40 years, said the moment would stay with them for the rest of their lives
